The couple attended the Los Angeles red carpet premiere for “Unfrosted,” a comedy about the origin of Pop-Tarts, which is the directorial debut of comedian Jerry Seinfeld. Leno, who recently celebrated his 74th birthday, has been granted conservertorship over his wife’s estate as she lives with advanced dementia. “I am so sick of these hard hitting controversial documentaries,” Leno joked to Seinfeld as his wife Mavis Leno laughed. “Can’t somebody just make a comedy anymore?”Seinfeld noted that he and Leno have been friends since 1978 and Leno said he was “very proud” of Seinfeld.

Washington CNN —President Joe Biden on Saturday night will attend the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, giving the president a stage and primetime slot to needle the media and his rival former President Donald Trump. “I haven’t had a chance to watch the court proceedings because I’ve been campaigning,” Biden told supporters at a campaign reception in New York Thursday, according to pool reports. Filed with the Los Angeles Superior Court, the petition states that Jay Leno is requesting to establish a conservatorship for his wife so that he can execute an estate plan on her behalf as she suffers from dementia. The execution of Mavis Leno’s estate plan is something that the 73-year-old comedian and former “Tonight Show” host states in the filing he believes she “would execute if she had the capacity to do so.”The couple have been married for more than 43 years. According to the filing, Jay Leno has primarily managed their finances throughout their marriage and states that he’ll continue to do so. LONDON (AP) — U.K. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak faced heavy pressure from his own Conservatives to take swift action to bring down migration, as new data published Thursday showed net migration numbers were higher than previously thought. The Office for National Statistics revised its estimates for net migration to the U.K. — meaning the number of people arriving minus those leaving — in the year to December 2022 to 745,000. The more hard-line wing of the Tories called for Sunak to “act now” as a general election looms next year. The latest figures do show that net migration in the 12 months up to June 2023 was 672,000. Sunak's office at Downing Street said that net migration remained “far too high” and indicated that further measures could be introduced to bring down the figures.
